Execution

Step-by-step cues

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you.
  2. Bend your right knee and place your right ankle over your left knee, forming a 'figure 4' shape with your legs.
  3. Keep your back straight and gently lean forward from the hips, bringing your chest towards your legs.
  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, feeling the stretch in your right hip and glute.
  5. Switch legs and repeat the stretch on the opposite side.
