Execution

Step-by-step cues

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Extend one arm to the side at shoulder height, bending the elbow at a 90-degree angle so that your forearm is parallel to the ground.
  3. Place your forearm against a wall or sturdy surface.
  4. Gently rotate your torso away from the wall until you feel a stretch in your chest and shoulder.
  5. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, maintaining steady breathing.
  6. Slowly return to the starting position and switch arms to repeat on the opposite side.
